On October 7, 2026, VTI Joint Stock Company (VTI), Global Technology Industry Corporation (GTINX), and the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish the GTINX–VPI–VTI Consortium. The collaboration aims to jointly develop and implement digital transformation solutions, enhancing operational efficiency and business management across the industrial and energy sectors.

The agreement brings together GTINX’s strengths in technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and information security; VPI’s scientific research capabilities, industry data, and domain expertise; and VTI’s expertise in software development, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, IoT, and system integration.
VTI to Drive Solution Development and Technical Implementation
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Xuan Khoi, Chairman of VTI, affirmed the company’s commitment to mobilizing qualified experts and working closely with its partners on technical implementation, solution development, and system integration. He also emphasized VTI’s commitment to meeting information security and data protection requirements while supporting future joint initiatives.

The collaboration is expected to establish an integrated value chain spanning industry-specific research and expertise, technology and digital solution development, infrastructure integration, cybersecurity, system deployment, and operations. Through this approach, the consortium aims to deliver practical, industry-focused solutions that address the stringent requirements for data management, reliability, safety, and security in the industrial and energy sectors.
Representing GTINX, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, Deputy General Director, stated that the corporation would work alongside VPI and VTI to implement digital technology solutions and advance research and development in technology infrastructure, information security, and cybersecurity. He expressed his expectation that the MOU would provide a foundation for the three organizations to leverage their capabilities, resources, and experience, gradually turning potential collaboration opportunities into concrete initiatives.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, Director of VPI, described the signing as an important first step in the partnership among the three organizations. He also expressed his expectation that the partners would further expand the scope of collaboration and pursue research and technology application initiatives to address practical challenges facing the industrial and energy sectors.

Expanding Opportunities for Digital Technology Adoption in the Energy Sector
At the event, Mr. Nguyen Nam Tien, Director of Digital Transformation at PETROVIETNAM, highlighted that the collaboration among GTINX, VPI, and VTI would lay the groundwork for implementing digital technology initiatives and solutions. He also noted its potential to enable broader technology adoption across management, production, operations, and digital transformation activities within PETROVIETNAM and the wider industrial and energy sectors.
The partnership comes as all three organizations continue to strengthen their digital technology capabilities. In 2026, VPI established its Digital Technology Department, accelerating research and applications in AI, big data analytics, and Digital Twin technology. GTINX has been expanding its capabilities in research, security technologies, digital solutions and services, infrastructure, and connectivity. Meanwhile, VTI continues to advance its AI-native strategy and develop its AI Center of Excellence, VTI.ACE.
The MOU establishes a foundation for VTI, GTINX, and VPI to continue joint research, develop technology solutions, and translate their shared objectives into concrete collaboration initiatives in the coming period.
