The initiative underscores VTI’s commitment to advancing AI innovation, fostering emerging technology talent, and strengthening the Vietnam–Japan technology community.

Connecting Talent and Advancing AI Innovation for Real-World Impact

Vietnam–Japan AI Hackathon 2026 is an innovation competition for the Vietnamese community and AI enthusiasts in Japan, jointly organized by Vietnam Japan AI Community (VJAI), Brandchie, and the Vietnam Digital Transformation Association in Japan (VADX Japan).

Under the theme “Agentic AI for Sustainable Goals,” the competition encourages participants to develop AI-powered solutions that address real-world challenges and contribute to sustainable development goals. Beyond a technology competition, the event provides a platform for engineers, developers, industry experts, and emerging talent to exchange knowledge, explore new ideas, and connect with the Vietnam–Japan business and technology community.

Building on the success of its previous edition, Vietnam–Japan AI Hackathon 2026 aims to attract more than 200 applications and generate over 50 AI-driven ideas, bringing together experts, businesses, and organizations across the technology ecosystem.

VTI Japan Experts to Serve as Judges and Mentors

As a Diamond Sponsor, VTI Japan’s involvement extends beyond financial sponsorship, with its experts taking an active role in mentoring participants, evaluating projects, and sharing industry knowledge throughout the competition.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Hoi, Head of AI Transformation at VTI Japan, will serve on the judging panel, bringing his technical expertise and industry perspective to the evaluation of competing projects, particularly their technological capabilities and potential for real-world application. Meanwhile, Mr. Tomobe Eiki will participate as a mentor, providing guidance and support to help teams develop their ideas and refine their solutions.

During the session, he shared his perspectives on the rapid evolution of AI and how individuals and businesses can approach emerging technologies in the years ahead.

Through their involvement across different stages of the competition, VTI Japan’s experts and leadership demonstrate the company’s commitment not only to advancing its own AI capabilities but also to sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation of engineers and technology innovators.

Continuing Engagement at the Upcoming Competition Events

Vietnam–Japan AI Hackathon 2026 will move into two key stages, with Pitch Day scheduled for October 24 and Demo Day – Grand Finale taking place on November 7, at Tokyo Innovation Base, Japan.

Alongside its technical contributions, VTI Japan will host an exhibition booth at the event, providing a space to engage directly with competing teams, industry professionals, and the broader technology community. The booth will also offer an opportunity for VTI to showcase its technological capabilities, share its AI development direction, and build connections with emerging talent across the Vietnam–Japan technology ecosystem.

Through its role as Diamond Sponsor of Vietnam–Japan AI Hackathon 2026, VTI Japan reinforces its commitment to connecting technical expertise, innovative thinking, and real-world applications. This involvement reflects VTI’s broader ambition to strengthen its position as an AI-focused technology partner while contributing to the growth of the Vietnamese technology community in Japan.
