Visitors interested in Made-by-VTI products at VIMF & VIAF

June 27, 2023

Vietnam Production Manufacturing Fair (VIMF), held annually in Vietnam, is an international professional exhibition of machinery, equipment, materials, technology and applications for Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering and supporting industries. On the other hand, Vietnam Industrial Automation Festa (VIAF), a part of VIMF, is an exhibition showcasing automation equipment and industrial machinery. The exhibition was held at the World Trade Center in Binh Duong New City from Wednesday, June 21 to Friday, June 23, 2023, and attracted more than 350 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors.

At this event, we exhibited Made-by-VTI products and solutions automation and efficiency in operational processes for the manufacturing sector. Visitors stopping by our booth were demonstrated how our products work while getting hands-on experience via our live demos. We were more than happy to receive favorable reviews from visitors.

Comprehensive Manufacturing Execution System MES-X:

DX maturity level (an indicator of digital transformation promotion by utilising advanced technologies) of manufacturers in Vietnam is reported to be low. Common challenges in manufacturing industry are:

Manufacturing industry in Vietnam is not familiar with AI applications, tasks are mostly undertaken manually. Therefore, human errors and mechanical accidents inevitably occur with high frequency.

High-level management systems, like ERP, are applied at headquarters. However, there is a lack of monitoring system for shop floor activities, and data is imported manually to ERP system. In other words, the heavily-invested ERP system is ineffective, since it works on error-prone and insufficient input data.

The key to thoroughly solving such problems lies in the Manufacturing Execution System MES-X.

MES-X utilises factory data acquired by AI cameras and sensors to set up production plans, issue warnings when machines needs maitenance, optimise warehouse management, and more. In addition, MES-X collects input data for the ERP system, supporting prompt decision-making.

The integrated production management system MES-X consists of five modules:

  • MEScore (Manufacturing Execution Management System): Centralised manufacturing execution management, from planning to real-time monitoring and reporting
  • WMS-X (Warehouse Management System): Real-time smart warehouse management from input materials to inventory & output finished products via QR code, minimising manual processes & maximising effiiciency
  • QMS-X (Quality Management System): Quality management system that assures & reorients quality standard of products & manufacturing procedure, reducing production errors
  • MMS-X (Device & Maintenance Management System): Device & equipment maintenance management system that sets up & monitors device profiles, issuing warning alerts & analyzing overall equipment efficiency
  • TMS-X (Track & Trace Solution): Tracking and tracing product origin and genealogy within seconds

Along with MES-X, BusEye, ParkingX, FaceX, LogX, Smart ENE, Smart Monitoring System and many other AI & IoT products also contribute to DX acceleration of manufacturing industry.

On the second day of the exhibition, Mr. Phan Thanh Ha, Chief Technology Officer of VTI, participated in the “The first step towards a smart factory in the 4.0 era” seminar as the speaker. Mr. Ha analysed a typical manufacturing situation in applying advanced technology to operational and management processes. Mr. Ha also demonstrated how VTI provided a foundational approach to a smart manufacturing model that helped companies self-assess their DX maturity level and set their DX direction.

“I’ve heard of the automation pyramid for a long time, but I didn’t really understand how to implement it in my own factory. Itt was a great learning experience.” – A participant shared.
