Our customer needed to develop a safety management platform. VTI collaborated with the company using a hybrid, full-cycle development model and successfully created a robust solution tailored for factories and plants.
Tailored safety solutions for a Korean innovator
Our customer is a Korean software system development company specializing in cloud platform services and safety and healthcare solutions. Established in 2008, the company operates three branches across Korea.
The customer needed to develop a comprehensive safety management platform tailored for factories and plants. This platform aimed to streamline task management and enable rapid response to accidents. Additionally, the project required a front-end mobile version to facilitate ease of use and accessibility.
Full-cycle development for resource optimization
VTI collaborated with the customer on a comprehensive project to optimize their resources. This joint effort involved a team of 20 people working over six months. During this cooperation, VTI developed various platform features, including task management, safety training, accident reporting, and safety inspection. Additionally, the project included individual-protected asset management and Tool Box Meet (TBM) functions, allowing workers to efficiently review job details and safety procedures before beginning their daily tasks.
Leveraging the Vue.js and Quasar platforms, VTI also created a mobile frontend version to improve accessibility and usability. The project followed a full-cycle development process, covering consultation & planning, analysis, software design, implementation, testing & integration, and maintenance. This structured approach ensured a robust, one-stop solution tailored to the customer’s unique requirements.
Bridging expertise with onsite and offshore synergy
This project follows a hybrid development model, combining onsite and offshore collaboration. It includes four offshore personnel based in Vietnam and an onsite BrSE (Bridge System Engineer) working directly at the customer’s site in Korea.
In detail, the onsite BrSE is responsible for gathering and analyzing customer requirements and then relaying them to the offshore team in Vietnam for implementation. The BrSE is also in charge of rapidly responding to customers’ inquiries and supporting quality control and project management.
The four offshore personnel work in a Global Development Center (GDC), where physical and cyber security are enhanced to protect customer data. The abundant pool of VTI’s skilled IT human resources also enables quick ramp-up and rotation for the project, since quick time to market and top-notch qualities are top priorities.
Prospective early successes
The project achieved notable success, marked by strong technical expertise and a reduced development interval due to the hybrid model. This efficient collaboration between onsite and offshore teams ensured seamless communication and rapid issue resolution.
The customer highly praised the final product for its quality and effectiveness, enhancing their operational safety and efficiency, leading to higher customer satisfaction and potential for future collaborations.
